Green Street Parklet

The parklet is a partnership of JP Centre/South Main Streets, A Better City, and the City of Boston, and sponsored by a Barr Foundation grant. The design was created by Merritt Chase – Landscape Architecture / Urban Design. The parklet is the result of work that began in early 2019 as part of the Tactical Realms initiative with Boston Transportation Department. The parklet features chairs, tables, bench, and niches for plants and décor. JP Centre/South Main Streets offers programming for the parklet to encourage pedestrian traffic along the Green Street corridor. The Blue Frog Bakery has partnered with JP Centre/South Main Streets to help maintain the space on a daily basis.
